Peter(皮特)专业编剧系列课,第一期圆满结束!第二期5月18日授课

5月11日,Peter老师专业编剧系列课程第一节于北京圆满结束,十几位导演、制片人、编剧和影视相关从业者参与了此次课程。在第一期的课程中,Peter老师首先讲述了剧本写作的大框架,让学员们对剧本创作有了一个全面的了解,也为引入接下来七个周末的课程做出了全面的准备。同学们均表示对后续课程有着满满的期待。

在简短的自我介绍过后,Peter老师首先强调了剧本写作的一些常见误区。在陈述自己的剧本时,新手编剧常常只是一味地叙述剧情,这样会给人造成一种流水帐的感觉,是不会吸引审读人的兴趣的。一个好的剧本,包括你在简要陈述这个剧本时,都应该是有选择、有结果、有悬念的,且不论是一场戏还是整个故事都应如此。

谈到如何让你的剧本更吸引人,Peter老师提到一种“似曾相识的独特性”——即如何让我们的情节、人设和冲突既让观众感到熟悉又与以往的故事有所不同。


对此,Peter总结了一些增加剧本吸引力的要素:

·一个独特的“钩子”

·对于角色可能发生的最坏的事是什么

·角色间的碰撞

·人物与环境的碰撞

·增加额外的元素(例如连环杀手根据圣经中的典故杀人)

·改变传统元素(土拨鼠之日)

·创造一个厉害的激励性事件(这个事件发生意味主人公转变的开始)

·把元素提升到最高的高度(最聪明的杀手、最性感的特工、最可爱的狗)

·给故事加一个倒计时、或一个封闭性环境

·角色处于特殊环境(律政界、时尚界)

·主人公的两难选择

随后,课程进入了故事类型的概述一环。不同于传统类型片,这里的影片类型是根据剧情节奏以及主要角色内心最大渴望区分(爱情、恐惧)而区分的,常见的影片类型分为14种,分别是:动作奇幻喜剧、帮派、冒险、恐怖、年代、爱情犯罪科幻侦探惊悚以及社会题材。其中加粗字体的类型为当前市场上比较受欢迎的类型。

剧本的第一幕,对于介绍清楚故事发生的背景,是非常重要的,一个清晰完整的第一幕应包括你的英雄的日常生活、人物与观众的共鸣、人物面临的挑战、新情况、动机以及冲突。因此在进行剧本创作之前,我们首先需要想好以下几个问题:


·谁是你的英雄或反派?

·他/她开始时的日常生活是怎样的?

·我们为什么会对你的英雄产生共鸣?

·故事始于一个怎样的挑战/机会?

·你的英雄进入了一个怎样的新情况?

·课件的目标或外部动机是怎样的?

·什么样的冲突让这个目标无法实现?

谈到如何制造冲突,Peter告诉大家,一个既合理又吸引人的冲突,应该能让观众感到深刻的共情。例如主人公与父母、权威之间的冲突、被错怪、被暴力霸凌、被误会、自身不可实现的梦想、对孩子和动物的善意、患有长期重大疾病等。

而一个特殊的环境,例如强大的竞争对手、公路寻宝、置身孤岛、跟时间赛跑、以及密室、警匪等,也都是能够提起观众兴趣的好安排。

当然,我们不应拘泥于此,而是要时刻在似曾相识的故事里,设置意想不到的情节点,持续制造冲突,才能让剧本足够吸引人。

Peter Walters(皮特)老师现居于北京和洛山机, 是中国电影行业里非常资深的编剧。他同时任教于北京电影学院,并且担任中美好莱坞电影协会北京分部的总监。
